Russia-Ukraine war live: People told to make petrol bombs as troops reach Kyiv
The Metro says Russian missile strikes on Ukraine have continued through the night, including on the capital Kyiv.
As of Thursday night, 137 were killed and 316 wounded, but there are fears these number will have risen significantly in fresh fighting.
Troops have poured in from the Crimean peninsula and assaulted border guards head on along the eastern and northern borders.
Video footage shows tanks forcing their way through border checkpoints on Thursday morning, with Ukrainian border force claiming that a number of guards were injured.
