Roman Kemp has been caught out after being forced to reveal why he was left without shoes ahead of appearing on TV.
The Capital Breakfast host, 30, had a busy weekend at the helm of the Summertime Ball alongside co-hosts Sian Welby and Chris Stark.
But despite having a few days to recover, he might still be catching up on sleep after he managed to leave his shoes at home.
After all were complimented by hosts Dermot O’Leary on Holly Willoughby for looking ‘fresh faced’ when appearing on This Morning, Chris then slightly threw his co-host under the bus.
‘Can we just talk about Roman’s shoes for a second?’ he asked.
‘It’s the elephant in the room here.’

Jumping in, Roman said there was a reason he was rocking socks and sandals, which were not the result of a ‘poorly foot’ as guessed by Dermot.
‘To be honest the whole weekend has been a total blur and then I forgot my shoes as I left the house this morning,’ he admitted.
Clearly gobsmacked, Dermot then threw a little shade.
‘You left your shoes but you remembered them’ he said while pointing at Roman’s grey rubber slides, which he’d paired with some white socks.

‘No so I had these at work but I had ran and jumped in the car and genuinely forgot my shoes,’ he explained.
‘I apologise, but this is the best I could do.’
However Dermot did acknowledge that Roman ‘styled it out’.
It’s not the first time Roman has recently found himself at the centre of some slight ridicule, after he managed to discard a Crème Egg worth £10,000 earlier this year.
Back in March Roman was left with egg on his face after rushing to indulge in the sweet treat before realising his half white chocolate, half milk chocolate version was actually incredibly rare.
‘What is this??? HALF WHITE HALF MILK CHOCOLATE??’ he tweeted, accompanied by a picture of him holding the unusual snack to share with his 300k following.
However, fans were quick to point out that the limited edition egg could be worth £10k.
But, with proof of a winning ticket located inside the egg which was required to claim the prize, Roman was left devastated after realising it was already deep down in his stomach.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
