Residents in the area have been urged to keep their windows and doors closed as firefighters work tirelessly to tackle a blaze at the Synthite plant in Wrexham. The fire has forced the closure of a stretch of the A541, causing traffic disruptions in the area.

The fire broke out at the chemical manufacturing plant earlier today, sending plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Emergency services were quick to respond to the scene, with firefighters working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.

Local residents have been advised to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed to avoid inhaling any potentially harmful fumes. The fire is believed to have started in a storage area at the plant, but the cause of the blaze is still unknown at this time.

The closure of the A541 has caused significant traffic disruptions in the area, with motorists being urged to find alternative routes. The fire service has warned that it could take several hours to bring the blaze under control, so residents and commuters are advised to stay vigilant and follow any instructions given by emergency services.

As firefighters continue to battle the blaze, the community is coming together to support those affected and ensure the safety of all residents in the area. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
