Rishi Sunak requests ministerial interests review amid tax row
BBC News says Chancellor Rishi Sunak has referred himself to the PM’s independent adviser on ministers’ interests.
In a Twitter post, Mr Sunak said he hoped a review would provide “clarity”, after revelations about his wife’s tax affairs and his use of a US green card.
The move, which Mr Sunak said would show he had always followed the rules, means his ministerial declarations will be examined by adviser Lord Geidt.
Labour says the row raises questions about possible conflicts of interest.
