Rapper Young Capone has died, according to his publicist.
The rapper protégé of Jermaine Dupri was reported to have gone missing a few months ago, and he has now died aged 35.
Capone – real name Rodriguez Smith – was said to have disappeared in July, and it is not clear whether he reappeared before his death, or what the cause was.
Taking to Instagram with the news, Capone’s publicist Aleesha Carter wrote: ‘This is with a heavy heavy heart that I’m even posting this. We made magic when we strategically put out projects, always.
‘Young Capone aka Dopeboy Ra aka Rara was one of my first Hip Hop/ Rap clients, and I can’t believe the news I just got of his unexpected passing! A friend…a client and just huge in East Atlanta. This is not the easiest post at all. Rest easy, RIP.’
Also known as Dopeboy Ra and RaRa, Capone’s albums included 2010’s Tha Life of a Youngsta, followed by Paper and Politics the year after.

After changing his name to Dopeboy Ra, the artist also released a number of singles, with his reimagining of Smooth Operator by Sade his most listened to track.
Jermaine took to Instagram with four dove emoji following the news, alongside a picture of Capone smoking in a car.
Meanwhile, US rapper JID took to Twitter and said: ‘This s**t jus hurt my soul.. r.I.p Ra.’

Fans were quick to send their love on Aleesha’s post, as one wrote: ‘Sending his family, you and the team so much love.’
Another said: ‘😢 no way Aleesha hes to young.’
Commenting on Jermaine’s post, another fan wrote: ‘#EastsideLegend Rest In Heaven Brother.’
Someone else said: ‘I would have him hot on repeat back in the day, this one hit hard jd, too much talent.’
Others simple commented with dove emoji, mirroring Jermaine’s tribute.
