Rapper MoneySign Suede has died after he was stabbed in the shower at a California prison.
The 22-year-old musician, real name Jaime Brugada Valdez, had been serving time in the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad for being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
Valdez’s lawyer Nicholas Rosenberg confirmed his death to the Los Angeles Times and said: ‘They said it was a stabbing to the neck.’
Valdez had been found in the shower facility on Tuesday just before 10pm and, despite life-saving efforts, died at the prison’s medical facility.
