Prince Andrew could be forced to pay £14million if he loses US sexual abuse case

Prince Andrew could be ordered to pay £14MILLION if he loses sex abuse case

The Mirror says: Prince Andrew could be ordered to pay £14million damages if he loses his US sex abuse case.

Last night American lawyers also warned that due to “huge legal hurdles” facing accuser Virginia Giuffre, a hearing may be five years away.

That would mean the Queen, 95, would be more than 100 by the time her son faced trial, creating the possibility Charles would be on the throne.

Details of the potential payout came as Scotland Yard chief Dame Cressida Dick ordered a new review into the abuse claims made against Andrew in London by Ms Giuffre.

The Met boss said: “No one is above the law. It’s been reviewed twice before. As a result of what’s going on, I’ve asked my team to have another look at the material.”
