Powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake rocks Mexico with tsunami warning issued
The Metro says At least one person is dead after a magnitude 7.6 earthquake rocked Mexico’s central Pacific coast on the anniversary of two other devastating quakes.
It hit 23 miles south east of Aquila, near the boundary of Colima and Michoacan states, at a depth of 9.4 miles, the US Geologic Survey said.
A warning from The US Tsunami Warning Centre said hazardous tsunami waves are possible for coasts within 186 miles of the epicentre.
Buildings swayed and workers were evacuated at 1.05pm local time.
