State of the Union: Joe Biden says Putin ‘badly miscalculated’ invading Ukraine and warns Russia ‘we’re coming for you’
The Metro says President Joe Biden began his first State of the Union address by slamming Russian President Vladimir Putin over his invasion of Ukraine.
He said he ‘badly miscalculated’ the attack and warned that the US and allies are ‘coming for you’.
He rattled off a list of sanctions intended to undermine the Russian economy as punishment for the invasion, adding: ‘He has no idea what’s coming.’
Biden also announced that the US will close its skies to Russian aircraft – after Europe and Russia imposed similar restrictions on one another.
