Metro – PM’s China ‘spy’ showdown

Metro leads with Rishi Sunak confronting China’s premier at the G20 summit in India, saying Beijing’s interference with UK democracy was “unacceptable” amid reports a parliamentary researcher spied for China. 

The lead story, accompanied by a picture of PM Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty in New Delhi, reports that the PM met Chinese Premier Li Qiang and raised “very strong concerns” about any interference in the UK’s parliamentary democracy.

The front page also features a picture of Prince Harry who is in Germany for the Invictus Games.
