Paul Burrell admitted he’s ‘more emotional than usual’ as he shared a health update after being diagnosed with prostate cancer last year.
The former royal butler, 65, completed his cancer radiotherapy treatment earlier this year and actually credits I’m A Celebrity for ‘saving his life’ after the medical checks found his cancer early on.
He explained on Lorraine in March where he explained how the routine medical assessment spotted raised levels of PSA in his body, so he was then sent for an MRI and biopsy which ultimately led to a cancer diagnosis and a path of treatment.
He said at the time: ‘I’m tired, I’ve got five more sessions to go. I’m very emotional but I’m looking forward to getting to the end of it and I’m looking forward to going on a little break with Graham – there’s a lot to live for.’
After ringing the cancer bell upon completing radiotherapy in April, Paul has now revealed some incredible news.

Paul said on ITV’s Lorraine: ‘Well, I’m really happy to tell you Lorraine that I went to see my consultant last week, and she gave me the all clear. It’s wonderful.’
He went on: ‘So my numbers came down from originally something like 10 down to 0.06, it’s good news.
‘I will continue with the hormone therapy which is a bit of a pain because I am putting on weight and I am more emotional than usual, and the hot sweats.’

This comes after reports that Paul will be ‘stripping naked’ in this year’s annual The Real Full Monty, alongside the likes of Dancing on Ice skater Vanessa Bauer, and reality star Ashley Cain.
A source shared: ‘It was incredibly emotional for both Vanessa and Paul during filming but they knew by taking part they would help to make a difference and get people checking themselves.’
An insider added to The Sun: ‘Naturally there were lots of laughs along the way — getting your kit off on camera makes people incredibly silly but it was all very good fun.’

After announcing his cancer diagnosis, Paul said that he was ‘lucky’ to have caught his when he did, as ‘there are thousands of men out there who don’t have symptoms.’
‘You’ve got loads of lovely female viewers who can say to their men, “Go get tested”,’ he told Lorraine.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1.
