Paramore have pulled out of their scheduled BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge appearance that was meant to take place on Tuesday.
The American rock band, formed in 2004, were set to appear after the conclusion of their recent UK tour in Birmingham on Saturday night.
No specific reason for their absence has been provided yet but a public statement released by Radio 1 this afternoon cited ‘personal reasons’.
The band has toured extensively in recent weeks to support the release of their sixth album This is Why – their first since 2017’s After Laughter.
Radio 1’s statement read as follows: ‘Unfortunately, Paramore have had to pull out of their Live Lounge performance tomorrow for personal reasons.’
The radio station did give fans of the band a glimmer of hope by adding: ‘We hope to reschedule their performance in the future.’

Naturally, fans of the band voiced their disappointment about the show not going ahead but offered their sympathies and sent their best wishes to the band.
‘This one stung,’ one fan said on social media, but added, ‘Sending Paramore all my love and hope everyone is okay.’
Another person responded to the news by saying they had learned of the cancellation from the band’s live guitarist Brian Robert Jones yesterday.
Many fans who follow the band closely expressed their concerns at the band pulling out of their scheduled performance due to ‘personal reasons’.
The last time Paramore entered the famous Live Lounge studio, they wowed fans with a cover of Drake’s 2017 single Passionfruit.
This appearance would have been the band’s fifth in the Live Lounge so far, having previously performed in 2008, 2009, 2013, and 2017.
Paramore are currently a trio, with singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro the only official members of the band.
However, their line-up of touring musicians is extensive, featuring additional guitars, bass, percussion instruments, and electronics.

The band’s management has been contacted for comment.
