Novak Djokovic stunned as Australia cancel his visa again and prepare to deport tennis star

The Metro says Australia has sensationally cancelled Novak Djokovic’s visa for the second time, with the tennis world number one now set to be deported rather than defend his Australian Open title.

Djokovic looked set to stay in Australia and compete in the first Grand Slam of the year after winning an appeal over his deportation on Monday.

But Immigration Minister Alex Hawke has cancelled the Serbian’s visa again under separate powers in Australia’s Migration Act.

‘Today I exercised my power… to cancel the visa held by Mr Novak Djokovic on health and good order grounds, on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so,’ the minister said in a statement.
