A-levels: Government targets 2024 for numerical A-level grades – but no new top grade 10 for GCSEs
The i says the Government is targeting 2024 as the year to introduce numerical grades for A-levels, i can reveal.
While ministers back a radical overhaul of A-level grades, they will stop short of proposals to introduce a new top grade for GCSEs.
As first reported by i in July, the Department for Education is considering replacing letter-based A-level grades in England with a numerical system similar to GCSEs.
