Netflix’s Cheer star Jerry Harris jailed for 12 years for sex abuse crimes
The Daily Mirror: Jerry Harris jailed as former star of Netflix documentary series Cheer, who used his fame and status as a competitive cheerleader to “entice his young victims”, has been sentenced today at a hearing in Chicago
Jerry Harris, star of hit Netflix show Cheer has received 12 years in prison, after he pleaded guilty in a federal sex abuse case.
Harris, 22, rose to fame in the docu-series which followed Navarro College’s competitive cheer squad, but in February he admitted receiving images of child sexual abuse and to travelling with the intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
