Horror fans are in luck as Netflix bosses have just dropped an acclaimed spin-off series of a huge TV show.
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premiered last February, and followed Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) as they reunited after the events of The Walking Dead.
During the post-apocalyptic six-part miniseries, we watched as Rick and Michonne somehow beat the odds and managed to find each other again, with some very romantic scenes thrown in for good measure.
While fans are yet to get their hands on a second season, all episodes arrived on Netflix in the US earlier today, sorting our next binge-watch session for now.
It will also be available to stream on the UK version of the streaming platform very soon.
The Ones Who Live currently commands an impressive 88% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to an audience rating of 80%.
Heaping praise on the instalments, Screen Rant’s Sarah Moran shared: ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live brings Rick and Michonne back for a thrilling story that puts to the test just how strong of a bond they share.’
‘The draw here (besides the occasional grisly zombie encounter) is the reignition of Rick and Michonne’s fiery love story,’ Matt Roush of TV Insider agreed.
Matt Fowler from IGN movies added: ‘For those who’ve waited years for answers, The Ones Who Live is equal parts sad, sinister, and satisfying.’
Rick and Michonne last appeared in the Walking Dead during the ninth and 10th seasons respectively.
The former was ‘killed off’ during an explosion, before it transpired that he had actually been kidnapped by the Civic Republic Military – Michonne then left the main show shortly after, in a bid to find her partner.
The Ones Who Live reunited the couple while also adding a touch of love – and even more terror – to the TWD universe.
Fans immediately branded it the ‘best spin-off so far’ – which says a lot when it joins Fear The Walking Dead, World Beyond, Dead City and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, in the TV guide.
However, while those programs have all gone on for multiple seasons, we’re still waiting for any news on whether we’ll see Michonne and Rick once more.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly last year after the final episode aired, Scott M Gimple was questioned on whether a second series is on the way.
‘It’s definitely going to go somewhere,’ he said. ‘But it might just be in my brain. It might just be my fan fiction.’
Discussing what could determine the future of The Ones Who Live, he added: ‘So many different things — everything from schedules to the stuff itself.
‘You never know, but right now there’s nothing on the table, except my little fan fictions I write in the evening for myself.’
