Netflix has announced a Scott Pilgrim Vs The World anime is in the works and the full cast is returning.
That’s right, the likes of Michael Cera, Chris Evans and Anna Kendrick will all voice their original characters in the new series, which is based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novels and will be animated by Science Saru.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead also returns to play Ramona Flowers, the love interest of Michael’s character Scott Pilgrim in the 2010 comedy.
In the film, Scott is a slacker and bassist in an Indie band called Sex Bob-omb who must fight Ramona’s seven evil ex-partners to survive and keep seeing her.
While all is happening, Scott is also dating Knives Chau, played by Glow star Ellen Wong.
The original adaptation was heavily influenced by video games and featured characters receiving level-ups and points after defeating enemies.
