Neighbours is finishing out its first year back on air in a big way, with joy and tragedy lined up for the festive season, making this Christmas one to remember for the residents of Ramsay Street.
Despite its past history of taking a hiatus during the holiday season, the long-running Aussie soap, which returned to screens earlier this year courtesy of Amazon Freevee, will drop a new episode on Christmas Day this year.

The first few moths back on air have been nothing short of dramatic, with huge twists, major flash-back weeks and returns left, right and centre, keeping fans glued to their screens.
Christmas will prove to be no different, with a multitude of exciting stories lined up all across the big week, with Neighbours set to air as normal during the week in question, meaning no break in transmission this year.
But just what does Christmas have in store for us and the Erinsborough residents?
Well, that is the question, and the answer is: just about everything.

Christmas Day arrives on Ramsay Street but not everyone is in the mood for celebrating. Terese and Jane make a difficult decision, while Mackenzie’s emotions lead to her making an impulsive decision.
Tuesday December 26
A tragic accident leads to a shock ultimatum. Susan, meanwhile, uncovers a terrible secret that threatens to cause a rift in her family and Paul sets an impossible challenge. But just what is it?
Wednesday December 27
Haz faces a difficult choice, while David’s concerns get him into trouble. Chloe and Elly’s plans are thrown into doubt.
Thursday December 28
Love is in the air as the residents of Ramsay Street come together to celebrate a beautiful union. Melanie must face the fallout of her past decisions. Nell sets Toadie on a dangerous path. Leo is confronted, but by who and over what?

There are difficult decisions set to be made, while emotions lead to implosive decisions.
Elsewhere, a tragic accident ensues, leaving everyone in shock, and a huge secret is also revealed – one which threatens to cause a rift in Susan Kennedy’s (Jackie Woodburne) family.

We’ll just have to wait and see, but we reckon fans will be delighted at the fact that they can add Neighbours to the list of soaps set to air over the festive period this year.
