Who will win? Our Oscars 2022 predictions
Actress in a leading role
This is the toughest category to call, but Jessica Chastain’s depiction of TV preacher Tammy Faye Bakker is the front runner for us. But don’t be surprised if Olivia Coleman or Nicole Kidman take the award either. Kristen Stewart’s performance as Princess Diana was fantastic but the film made little impact at box office – she’s the most unlikely to scoop the award.
Actor in a leading role
Our prediction is Will Smith for his performance as Richard Williams – the father of tennis legends Serena and Venus. It’s worth noting that Smith also won Best Actor at the BAFTAs for this role.
Directing
Despite her recent comments – Jane Campion is still tipped to walk away with the directing award for her western Power Of The Dog.
Best Picture
This category is a real toss-up between The Power Of the Dog and CODA – either could scoop the top prize – our money is on CODA.
