Ed Sheeran is a international star, whose face is known by many – but apparently not well enough.
The Shape Of You hitmaker, 32, seems a little concerned over the repercussions of his latest waxwork model, which was unveiled in Germany last month.
Wax Ed appears at the Panoptikum Museum in Hamburg, and joins several high-profile pals like Angelina Jolie, Queen Elizabeth II, Karl Lagerfeld, and Henry VIII.
When it was unveiled, the pasty figure caused quite a stir among Ed’s fans, as many ripped into it for looking nothing like the star.
‘Why is that waxwork of #EdSheeran freaking me out?’, one person wrote on Twitter.
‘Ohhh noooo! I was literally in front of the man last month and this wax figure looks nothing like him!’, another said.

Now, the Thinking Out Loud acoustic legend has confronted the figurine, and expressed his shock that some people think it’s an actual photo of him.
Taking to Instagram, Ed responded to Bruno Mars’ story, which shared a picture of wax Ed.
Tagging the Marry You singer in his own story while sharing the picture, Ed wrote: ‘This waxwork legit is getting used in press stories about me, what a time to be alive.’
What a time to be alive indeed, as Ed – crowd-pleaser that he is – was spotted serving hotdogs to lucky fans before a record-breaking concert in Chicago just yesterday.

The Yorkshire-born music icon is currently on the road in the middle of the US leg of his worldwide Mathematics tour, which has been running since April 2022.
Ed loves surprising his fans, as he brought out legendary rapper Eminem for his Detroit gig, and has been known to turn up for many impromptu pub gigs, and he even delighted three Auckland schools with an assembly they’ll never forget.
This comes as Ed has endured a heart-breaking few years, after his wife Cherry Seaborn was told she had a tumour while pregnant.
Although she had successful surgery in June 2022, Ed remembered how she was six months pregnant at the time of the diagnosis and doctors refused to operate until after she’d given birth.
Shortly after the devastating diagnosis news, Ed’s best friend Jamal Edwards died aged 31 in February 2022.
Ed has been super candid about his grief, and has let his emotions be felt on stage at times.
