Millions set to be ‘worse off’ despite Rishi Sunak’s lavish Budget 2021 spending
The Metro says An independent economics think tank has savaged Rishi Sunak’s Budget and warned families face ‘real pain’ this winter.
The chancellor struck an upbeat tone yesterday and claimed his Spending Review would usher in a new age of optimism’.
He splashed the cash, announcing budget increases for every government department totalling £150 billion, cut taxes on alcohol, domestic flights and some booze, as well as putting the National Living Wage up to £9.50.
