Met Police threatened with legal action over failure to investigate No10 Xmas party
The Daily Mirror says The Metropolitan Police has been threatened with legal action for its refusal to investigate the alleged Downing Street Christmas parties.
Earlier this week Scotland Yard said it would not probe the gathering in Number 10 in December last year due to a lack of evidence.
Boris Johnson has always insisted all Covid measures would have been followed if there had been a Christmas party.
Now the Good Law Project has written to the Met asking it to justify its failure to investigate reports of an unlawful party being held at No 10 Downing Street on 18 December 2020 – and threatening legal proceedings if it does not do so.
