McDonald’s brings back ‘best burger ever’ — and adds four other items to menu

McDonald’s has some new items on the menu

The New Year is approaching and with it comes a new menu at McDonald’s — and it’s bound to please diehard fans of the fast food chain.

Five ‘all-time favourites’ are returning in January, including the Steakhouse Stack, which Maccies customers previously dubbed the ‘best burger they’ve ever produced’.

The burger, which was first introduced in March this year, will cost £5.49 and once again features two British and Irish beef patties, a slice of cheese, crispy onions, red onions, lettuce, and black peppercorn sauce in a toasted glazed sesame topped bun.

As well as this, four other items will be back on the menu from January 4, including the Fajita Chicken Wrap (£3.69), Cheesy Garlic Bites (£2.59), Cadbury Dairy Milk McFlurry and Cadbury Caramel McFlurry (£1.99 for full size and £1.49 for mini).

There are five new items on the menu.

McDonald’s originally launched the Fajita Chicken Wrap in 2020 but the version joining the menu in 2024 is said to be a ‘new and enhanced’ recipe, with not one but two sauces — a creamy fajita sauce and tomato salsa.

The wrap also contains silvered onions, cheese and shredded lettuce, and you can choose to add grilled or crispy chicken.

On the side you can order a portion of five Cheesy Garlic Bites, made with a blend of mozzarella and Emmental cheese, served in a garlic breadcrumb coating served with a rich tomato dip.

To round off your meal you can choose from a Cadbury Dairy Milk McFlurry or Cadbury Caramel McFlurry.

And that’s not all, in addition to adding five new items to the menu, McDonald’s will also be offering Saver Meal Deals in the New Year, with three options all available for less than £5.

Customers will be able to feed a family of four for less than £20 and still enjoy classics, including a Double Cheeseburger meal with medium Fries and a drink for just £4.79.

Meals included in the offer include a Cheeseburger meal deal, with burger, medium fries, and a drink for £3.99. There’s also a Mayo Chicken deal for the same price, if that’s more to your tastes.

These deals will be available in UK and Ireland restaurants from 11am, but not on delivery.

It’s not clear yet how long the new menu will be available for, but typically these drops only last a few weeks, so you’d better be speedy if you want to try them.
