Matthew Perry’s last Instagram post seemed to chillingly foreshadow his shock death aged 54.
The actor, best known for playing Chandler Bing in sitcom Friends, shared a picture of himself relaxing in a jacuzzi days before he reportedly died in an apparent drowning.
The 17 Again star, who was relaxing in the hot tub with headphones in as he gazed out over what appears to be the LA skyline, captioned the post: ‘Oh so warm water swirling around you makes you feel good? I’m Mattman.’
His other recent Instagram pictures included his home cinema playing movie Batman and a pumpkin for Halloween, while the last with his face clearly visible was taken with his rarely-seen father John.
With his arm around his beaming father, Perry captioned the post: ‘Here is me, and my father John, both holding a beverage.’
Tributes have been pouring in since US outlets reported that Perry had died at his LA home, with the local police confirming they had gone to the Three to Tango actor’s block ‘for a death investigation of a male in his 50s.’

Among those remembering Perry were his Friends co-stars including Maggie Wheeler, who played Chandler’s on-off girlfriend Janice Hosenstein during the early series of the TV show and often appeared to perform her catchphrase ‘Oh! My! God.’
‘What a loss,’ Wheeler captioned a picture of the pair on Instagram.
‘The world will miss you Matthew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on.

Hollywood heavyweights including Selma Blair and Shannen Doherty have also paid tribute to Perry.
Legally Blonde star Selma Blair described Perry as her ‘oldest boy friend.’
Sharing a throwback picture, she said: ‘All of us loved Matthew Perry, and I did especially. Every day.
‘I loved him unconditionally. And he me. And I’m broken. Broken hearted. Sweet dreams Matty. Sweet dreams.’
In a lengthy tribute, Shannen explained her friendship with Perry dates ‘way back’ and recalled them ‘constantly laughing.’
Reflecting on the mischief they got up to, Shannen remembered: ‘We played dare and Matt had to say ridiculous things to girls at the bar. We just always had fun and supported each other. You would always find us all together in a booth speaking in our own made up language. And yes, Matt always had THAT sense of humor.’
She continued: ‘Matt and I had a date and it was on Valentine’s Day. He wanted to get a reservation at a restaurant in Malibu but couldn’t so my dad got the reservation for him. We went and he talked about my dads Irish persuasiveness the majority of the night.

‘Our friendship spanned a long time. A lifetime really. I know many are hurting, especially our little gang. He will be missed by many and definitely by us. Yes. I could be more poetic or say things better but right now, shock and sadness prevail.’
Perry, who was nominated for an Emmy for his role in Friends, starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Courteney Cox – who played Perry’s on-screen wife Monica Geller.
