    **Pepper Spray Incident at Primary School**

    Dozens of children were targeted in a pepper spray incident, with at least 12 needing hospital treatment in western Germany.

    Details of the Incident

    The alarm was raised after unknown attackers released pepper spray at a primary school in Hürth, North Rhine-Westphalia outside Cologne.

    Children complained of dizziness, irritated eyes, or coughing.

    In total, the ambulance crews checked 49 children at the school, which has not been publicly named.

    Emergency Response

    The building was evacuated following the incident, which was reported at around 10:20 AM.

    Twelve children were taken to the hospital, while seven youngsters were treated at the scene by paramedics.

    The fire department declared a mass casualty incident, according to reports.
