Manchester United agree deal to sign defender Raphaël Varane for £43m
The Times says Manchester United are on the verge of signing Raphaël Varane from Real Madrid after agreeing a fee of about £43 million for the central defender.
United will pay £34.2 million, plus £8.6 million in add-ons, for the France international, who has settled on personal terms. The Spanish club have opted to cash in on the 28-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.
