Roy Keane has been unveiled as the face of a new Adidas campaign, while his dog Jet has also landed a starring role alongside her pal, the Manchester United legend.
The campaign for the Adidas Spezial Autumn/Winter collection features the Irishman showing off the range while walking his dog in the Lake District.
Keane expressed his love of dogs, saying: ‘Whatever is going on in my life, I’m at my happiest when I’m with my dogs. It lifts my spirits, it’s a very simple way of life and that appeals to me.’
The Sky Sports pundit then makes quite wistful comments about his past playing career and moving on, saying: ‘I played to win from when I was eight or nine years of age.
‘You were literally on the biggest roller coaster of your life. The highs are extreme and the lows…my goodness. But sometimes you have to lose to win.
‘The biggest challenge for any sportsperson is actually when your career finishes. You almost know you’re never going to reach those highs again but you have to accept that.
‘I’ll never get that buzz from anything else in my life. Being in the dressing room winning stuff with good teammates and good players…ohhh, honestly, it really is amazing.’

Although, Keane perks up, saying: ‘Life’s been pretty good to me in terms of my career and my family.
‘I actually have a lot of contentment in my life. That can go sometimes but generally speaking, I am pretty contented yeah.’
Adidas say of Keane’s involvement: ‘The launch of the adidas Spezial Autumn/Winter 2023 collection is showcased in a campaign film which follows the iconic footballer Roy Keane, as he takes his dog Jet on a lakeside walk.
‘A deeply personal portrait of one of football’s most recognisable figures, the film goes beyond the pundit and the player and explores the man.’
