Manchester United have discussed a potential move for Bologna’s versatile winger Dan Ndoye, according to reports in Italy.
The 23-year-old only joined Bologna last summer in a €9 million (£7.6m) deal from Swiss side FC Basel.
At Euro 2024, Ndoye has started all three group games for Switzerland and has been one of their standout performers in the tournament so far.
He scored in the 1-1 draw with Germany last Sunday and is now set to start Switzerland’s last-16 clash against Italy this Saturday.
According to Sky Italy, Ndoye’s performances at Euro 2024 have alerted the interest of United, who are said to have made enquiries about the 23-year-old after Switzerland’s draw with tournament hosts Germany.
Inter are also keeping tabs on Ndoye’s situation as they are said to view him as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries, who could leave this summer.
United’s new hierarchy, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, are already familiar with Ndoye following the two seasons he spent at Nice.
When asked about his future last week, Ndoye said: ‘Football goes very fast – one day you are very high and one day you are low.
‘I want to continue playing like this and stay focused on the European Championship with Switzerland.’
