A man banned from carrying marker pens and wet paints has been jailed after breaching the terms of his Criminal Behaviour Order.

Lloyd Griffiths, 22, was found with two Sharpie pens, one tucked in his waistband, and a small amount of cannabis on October 10.

The discoveries were made after he was reported for making inappropriate comments to women at McDonald’s in Bourges Boulevard, Peterborough.

In 2019, Griffiths upset locals and business owners by causing ‘prolific’ criminal damage.

He was convicted and given a five-year order stopping him from carrying materials to cause criminal damage in a public place.

Griffiths, from Oakham, insisted he wasn’t planning on using the marker pens found on him this week.

He claimed to have been given them by a friend.

He was jailed at Peterborough Magistrates Court (Picture: Google)

But he was jailed for 18 weeks after pleading guilty to breaching a CBO and possession of a class B drug in public at Peterborough Magistrates Court.

PC Luke Cooke said: ‘Griffiths was handed this CBO after causing prolific criminal damage in public places across the city centre, which resulted in disruption to local businesses in the area, and upset many members of the local community.

‘I hope this result shows how seriously the courts take a breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.’
