A man has been charged after 17 dogs were seized following two separate attacks – including one on a young child.
Bernard Valentine, 35, is accused of eight counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control that caused injury.
A girl, 6, was hospitalised after being mauled at a property on Ackers Lane in Carrington, Greater Manchester.
She remains in a stable condition following the ‘horrific’ incident just before 2.40pm on Sunday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Police say six of the charges are a result of an investigation into this incident.
A total of 17 dogs have been seized, including four adult dogs and nine puppies.
The other two charges relate to another incident when a man in his 20s and his dog were injured in the same location in December 2022.
