A man has been arrested after a woman was found dead in a house in Bournemouth, a seaside town on the south coast.
Police broke down the door of a home on Rosemount Road, Alum Chine, after being called by worried paramedics at about midday yesterday.
The body of a woman, 34, had been found and a man, whom police said she knew, was arrested at the scene.
He was taken to the hospital under escort to receive treatment for serious injuries, Dorset Police added. The man is awaiting questioning by detectives.
Outside the woman’s detached home, candles, flowers and other tributes were laid earlier today.
Richard Marson, who lives along Rosemount Road, told the Bournemouth Daily Echo today: ‘It’s so sad. Shocking really. It’s just so sad.
