    Man accused of pushing commuter on Tube tracks denies murder

    A Tube passenger accused of shoving a commuter onto the tracks and attacking another stranger has denied attempted murder.

    Angel Cambeiro was sent flying onto the tracks after being hit in the chest at Finchley Road station in north London in October last year.

    Another passenger Peter Acton, came forward to say they had been assaulted on a train from Finchley Road.

    Donovan Kenlyn, 38, denied attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

    His trial was set for 14 February next year.

    He was remanded in custody ahead of his trial set for 14 February next year.

    Prosecutor Frances McCormack earlier said: ‘The attempted murder took place at Finchley Road station at 11.43am.

    ‘The defendant was seen on CCTV to strike the victim’s chest area using his right arm.’

    Ms McCormack said the next thing Mr Cambeiro knew ‘he found himself lying on the train tracks. Two others were able to pull him off the train tracks.’

    Mr Cambeiro could have been electrocuted and killed if he had not been pulled off the tracks, a court heard.

    Kenlyn, of North Circular Road, Ealing, denied attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
