Emmerdale is set to be rocked by the return of Carl King’s son Tom, who will reportedly stage a comeback in the coming months.
Formerly known as Thomas, the character was last seen stealing a camper van from Dan Spencer before staging a getaway from the village – shortly after trying to convince Belle to come away with him.
Tom famously made Chas Dingle’s life a living hell following the death of his dad Carl, who became incredibly villainous in his final years on the show.
James Chase will take over the role formerly played by Mark Flanagan, according to The Sun.
‘Tom’s return is going to be explosive,’ an insider told the publication. ‘He shocks his uncle Jimmy when he returns to the village and it’s not clear why he’s back.
‘Fans will be glued to their screens watching Tom’s comeback unfold — and his presence could cause chaos.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Emmerdale for comment.
Jimmy, as viewers know, has been reflecting on his life as of late, revealing during the latest meeting of man club that he misses his brothers, who are all dead, making him the last King standing.
He reminisced on the way he, Matthew and Carl used to battle for dad Tom’s affection, and admitted that if he’d have known then what he knew now, then he wouldn’t have wasted his time.
The King brothers were often caught up in feuds, whether that be over women or their place in the family business.
All three brothers were suspects in the murder of their father, Tom, but the culprit was ultimately revealed as youngest brother Carl.

Carl had pushed Tom out of a window and to his death after learning that he would lose out on his inheritance if he went ahead with marrying Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter).
But will his son Tom prove to be as villainous as he? What’s more, could it be Jimmy’s desire to reconnect with his brothers that results in Tom making a comeback?
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
