Major manhunt underway after gunman shoots cars on US highway
A manhunt is underway in Kentucky following a shooting incident on a highway near London on Saturday.Â
The incident began around 5:30 p.m. local time (9:30 p.m. GMT) when police discovered that nine vehicles had been shot near Interstate 75. Seven people were injured, with five sustaining serious injuries, according to the Laurel County Sheriff.
London Mayor Randall Weddle reported that not all injuries were due to gunfire and confirmed that no one had been killed.Â
Authorities have identified 32-year-old Joseph A. Couch as a person of interest and are warning that he is considered armed and dangerous.
