Coronation Street has confirmed the return of one of its major villains, as evil Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) arrives back on the cobbles.

We last saw Damon on the street when he was arrested for smuggling drugs through the Bistro.

The bad boy, who had previously been revealed as Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) brother, had been making Nick Tilsley’s life a misery as he blackmailed him into doing his dirty work.

Eventually, Nick came to his senses after son Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) was caught up in a gun siege, as two masked men stormed the restaurant looking for the shipment of drugs.

In a bid to protect his family, Nick realised that the only thing he could do would be to inform the police of Damon’s dodgy dealings.

Officers were then able to intercept him leaving the flat with the drugs, catching him in the act.

He was then arrested for the crime and taken to the station, never to be heard from again.

    Until now, that it.

Spoilers suggest that Damon will make his return to Coronation Street next week, looking for a solicitor to represent him.

Dee Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) is horrified to see him in the office and demands that he sling his hook.

However, Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) has other ideas, and suggests that they take him on as a client.

Will Dee Dee agree, or will Damon be sent packing for good?

With the villain back on the Street, what does this mean for Nick and his family?

We know that Damon is dangerous, especially if you cross him.

We saw exactly what he was capable of when he threatened his own son, Jacob (Jack James Ryan) and forced him to leave his life in Weatherfield behind.

Could Nick be set to receive the same treatment?
