The back page of the Daily Mail newspaper – like most of the back pages – reports on Luis Diaz coming off the bench to score a crucial goal for Liverpool. The match ended 1-1 and Diaz’s efforts ensured Liverpool were able to get at least a point from the match that they were expected to dominate and win.
The Colombian footballer held up his football shirt after scoring to reveal a message calling for the release of his dad. His parents were kidnapped in Colombia last week, his mum has been released but his dad is still being held.
The back page also tells Arsenal to stop moaning, after the Gunners lost 1-0 to Newcastle. The club has complained about VAR after the ball appeared to have gone out of play just before Newcastle scored.
