If it’s Kim Kardashian-approved, you know it’s going to be the ultimate in luxury. In fact, Augustinus Bader’s whole fan base is straight from the red carpet, with the likes of Margot Robbie, Jennifer Aniston and Charlize Theron among its loyal customers.
So it’s no surprise that this much-coveted skincare line’s products have been named ‘The Greatest Skincare Of All Time’ by WWD Beauty Inc, judged by a jury of hundreds of skincare shoppers, beauty insiders and industry experts.
During Kim’s iconic appearance dressed as Marilyn Monroe at the Met Gala, we were all in awe of her luminous glow – which was thanks to none other than this luxury skincare brand.
Alongside a picture on Insta of Kim’s flawless skin on the night, makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic posted that he attributed Kim’s dewy skin to: ‘Skincare prep using all @augustinusbader.’
It’s the brand’s The Rich Cream and The Cream that created all the fuss and which topped the aforementioned list.
Formulated over 30 years, the brand claims these creams reduce the signs of ageing, including the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation, while also deeply hydrating, conditioning, and renewing for soft, even, restored skin.
And now you can treat your mum to this super luxe, celeb-approved brand for less, with The Discovery Gift Set (from £130), available this Mother’s Day.
Sure, if your bank balance resembles that of Kim K (we can but dream), you might want to splash out on the crème de la crème – The Supreme Collection (a cool £,1260), which includes full-sized (50ml) versions of all the brand’s classic skincare heroes, including the famous The Rich Cream.

But for the rest of us, The Discovery Kit offers a way to trail the brand at a more affordable price point, and includes two hero moisturisers; The Rich Cream and The Cream, available in sizes 50ml, 30ml or 15ml, depending on your budget.
Another Mother’s Day gifting option is The Hydration Heroes kit, which retails at £245 and contains 50ml versions of The Rich Cream and The Body Cream.

Reviews of the brand are as positive as you would imagine, with one shopper saying on the Sephora website: ‘I’ve been using the product for 6 months now and have to admit this is probably the best moisturizer I have tried. I was ‘blessed’ with somewhat sensitive combination skin that’s prone to breakouts, however after using the products my skin texture got better with minimal acne flares’
While another said: ’ll start by saying that I am always sceptical of expensive face/body products that claim to work miracles. That said, I tried a sample of this and noticed a difference almost immediately in the texture and tone of my skin. Not even exaggerating.’
And while the legion of A-List (and non-A-List) fans may be convincing, there’s also some impressive science to back up Augustinus Bader’s appeal.
When using hero product, The Rich Cream, 37% of testers saw forehead wrinkles reduced in just four weeks, while crow’s feet wrinkles were reduced by 54% in the same time period. Overall, the participant’s skin felt 92% firmer in only four weeks – some pretty impressive stats! Results are based on a four-week clinical trial of 30 participants.
Another hero product in the range is The Body Cream, which the brand claims users saw a 75% reduction in the appearance of cellulite on the hips, and a 64% reduction in the appearance of stretch marks. Results are based on a 12-week clinical trial of 35 subjects aged 18+.

Now we’re not saying that mums need to banish wrinkles and cellulite – we’re all about embracing ageing – and, as we’ve been taught, a cream simply won’t banish either anyway. Sorry. But if your mum is a skincare buff who likes the finer things in life (with a results-driven formula to boot) and you’ve got a hefty wallet, Augustinus Bader seems to be the brand of the moment.
Well, if it’s good enough for Kimmy K.
