It’s fair to say this series of Love Island is giving – and Friday night’s episode continued to deliver with Ne-Yo waving the girls off to Casa Amor.

The R&B legend entered the Majorcan villa to play a special intimate gig for the islanders, following in the footsteps of Craig David and Tom Zinetti.

But in quite possibly the smoothest plot twists in the ITV2 dating show’s history, the performance ended with Ne-Yo whisking the girls off to take selfies before leading them to their shuttle bus.

Pointing at their ride, which had ‘Casa VIPs’ branded on the side, the singer said: ‘I have a surprise for you… that car right there.’

Screaming ensued and the ladies quickly clambered inside the van, prompting the boys to come running over to see what the commotion was about – but they were too late.

Viewers couldn’t believe the scenes with one going as far to describe it as Bafta-worthy.

‘Having Ne-Yo send the girls to Casa Amor is insane, the producers are in their bag this season,’ one enthused.

Echoing a similar sentiment, another said: ‘Ne-Yo bringing the girls to Casa Amor, the boys running after them, the lights turning on in Cas Amor, them looking out into the distance at the Casa Amor villa hahahahhaa a cinematic masterpiece.’

A third added: ‘Not sure I will ever get over Neyo taking the girls to Casa. BAFTA worthy.’

that was the best intro to casa in all 10 seasons, from neyo leading them outside, to the cab, to the lights turning on in the distance. the producers really are producing#LoveIsland
