Liverpool forward Luis Diaz out until December
A knee injury looks to force Liverpool forward Luis Diaz out of action until December.
Diaz suffered a knee injury in Sunday’s Premier League defeat at Arsenal. He had a scan on Monday and does not require surgery but will not play for the team again until after the World Cup.
Liverpool have 10 matches to go before England’s top clubs break for the international period for the Qatar World Cup on 13 November.
Liverpool will return to action on 26 December, with an away game at Aston Villa.
Liverpool’s premier league campaign has got off to a rocky start, but Diaz has been one of the Reds’ better performers – his injury will come as a massive blow to the team.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was also injured in the same game and manager Jurgen Klopp said it did not “look good for both.”
Liverpool’s next match is against Rangers on Wednesday in the Champions League and then the team will host Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
