Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers’ was reportedly found dead in a bathroom at his home in Florida, according to the 911 call made after he was found.
In the call to the emergency services, the caller said they had found the 48-year-old musician lying facedown in blood.
The metal group announced Rivers’ death in a statement on Instagram earlier this month, confirming he had died earlier in the day.
In the 911 call, the frantic caller reportedly told the emergency services on the line that she arrived at the house and found Rivers ‘face first in a pile of blood.’
In the audio of the call obtained by TMZ, the emergency responders told the caller to perform CPR on Rivers, with the call ending once an officer from St Johns County Sheriff’s Department had arrived at the home.
According to the incident report also obtained by the outlet, a responding deputy said that the caller informed them that she had found Rivers lying face down in the bathroom.

CPR reportedly continued until the St Johns County Fire Rescue team made it to the scene, at which point Rivers was pronounced dead. A cause of death has not been shared.
Sharing a photo of the later Rivers, a post from Limp Bizkit earlier in October shared: ‘Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat.
‘Sam Rivers wasn’t just our bass player – he was our magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.
‘From the first note we ever played together, Sam brought a light and a rhythm that could never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence was unforgettable, his heart enormous.
‘He was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of human. A true legend of legends. And his spirit will live forever in every groove, every stage, every memory.

‘We love you, Sam. We’ll carry you with us, always. Rest easy, brother. Your music never ends.’
Fellow band member DJ Lethal further expressed how the band is in ‘shock’ over the death of Rivers.
‘We love you Sam rivers. Please respect the family’s privacy at this moment. give Sam his flowers and play Sam rivers basslines all day ! We are in shock.’
He added: ‘Rest in power my brother ! You will live on through your music and the lives you helped save with your music, charity work and friendships. We are heartbroken enjoy every millisecond of life. It’s not guaranteed.’
The bassist was a founding member of the rap-metal group, which consisted of frontman Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, and DJ Lethal.
