Euro 2024 qualifiers: England vs Malta – where to watch, odds and team news   Ahead of the Women’s World Cup in July, the men are back in action with their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. On Friday they face Malta away from home.  Gareth Southgate’s side have made a great start to the campaign by beating both their most likely rivals from a top-two finish, Ukraine and Italy, while Malta have lost to the latter as

    What are the facts?

    Perspective
    • Lightyear is a spin-off of the Toy Story film series, serving as an origin story for the character Buzz Lightyear.
    • The film had a $200m budget and on opening weekend bought in $85.6m – the film has so far underperformed at box office.
    • The film was not released in various, mostly Muslim-majority, countries, which include Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates, due to a scene featuring a same-sex kiss between two charachers.
    • The scene was initially cut from the film in mid-March 2022, but following Disney CEO Bob Chapek’s opposition to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill and the internal polarizing uproar it caused within Disney, the scene was reinstated.
Inclusion of characters is progress LGBTQ+ online newssite PinkNews reports on one of the film's leads saying the inclusion of LGBTQI+ and black characters is 'progress' and depicts love in the way it exists in the real world. “Disney, Pixar, there’s a wide audience, and a lot of their audience is obviously LGBTQ+, women, Black women… people that want to be represented in films,” she said. “So, yes, 100 per cent, I think it is progress.”

LGBTQ+ 'agenda' Arab News claims criticism to Disney not restricted to region, recent US poll shows 70% of Americans reject its agenda on similar grounds. The article says the UAE is one of the most liberal countries in the arab world and goes on to say there are massive cultural differences between Western and Middle Eastern and Asian countries — differences that should be respected, especially by a corporation as big and influential as Disney.

Should I book a wedding planner for my big day?

What does a wedding planner actually do? How much do they cost?

Cancelled by the anti-cancel culture right The Independent says Did you think “cancel culture” was just a thing for the left? This shows you it’s time to think again, no? The real Disney scandal is that Buzz’s film – a fairly by-the-numbers outing featuring an established “franchise” character – is the first time we’ve been able to see an offering from the usually wildly creative Pixar people on the silver screen in what feels like for ever.

‘I paid for everything in the relationship, all the meals and trips out for her because I did love her and I wanted her to have a better life but she has taken advantage of me.’

Hollywood and LGBTQ+ inclusion Daily Record looks at the wider Hollywood film community and says "ironically, kids will not care a jot. Youngsters I know find it bizarre that anyone ever felt compelled to be in the closet and consider it utterly backward that Scotland only made homosexuality among men legal in 1980. But cast your eye across Twitter and there are sadly plenty of parents who say they will not be “corrupting” their children by allowing them to watch Lightyear."
