Lea Michele offered her fans an update on her two-year-old son Ever’s health on Instagram after he was hospitalised on Wednesday.

The former Glee star, 36, sat backstage in her dressing room at the Funny Girl theatre where she is currently performing on Broadway and shared the news with her Instagram Story.

Her candid chat came after she announced her tot was taken into professional medical care after being hit with a ‘scary health issue’ that caused the mum to miss shows.

On Friday, she confirmed she would return to the production over the weekend to take up her role as Fanny Brice again.

Speaking to her camera in full costume with her stage mic attached to her head, the star began by saying: ‘Hi everyone. I’m saying a quick hello from my dressing room here. I’m back at Funny Girl tonight.’

She continued: ‘I’m really happy to be back. It’s been a really long week and we’re still not out of the woods completely with our son, but he’s headed in a good direction and we’re really really grateful.

‘I’m happy to be back here. I have a cold I think from not sleeping at all this past week. But I’m really happy to be back with my Funny Girl family.

‘And I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for just so much love and support this week. I really really appreciated it.

‘For everyone who is here tonight, I’m really excited and we’re going to make it a good one. So, okay, I love you all’.

Lea shares Ever Leo with her husband Zandy Reich and the pair welcomed the little boy in August 2020 after tying the knot one year earlier in 2019.

Earlier that week on Wednesday, the famous performer had updated followers on Instagram as to the condition of her poorly toddler and uploaded a snap of the child in a hospital bed cuddled up to a stuffed animal.
