Kim Kardashian is pregnant with a giant spider in the terrifying American Horror Story: Delicate trailer.

Yep, it really is as terrifying as it sounds.

The Skims founder, 42, joins Cara Delevingne and Emma Roberts for the series, and a new clip has already given us a hint of the nightmares to expect.

In it, the Kardashian star goes for quite a new look – peroxide blonde hair, heavy lashes and a metallic red lip.

The clip begins with all three sporting a similar look as the peer into the camera through magnifying lenses, before a hair-raising rendition of Rockabye Baby plays.

Clones in platinum blonde wigs and hospital gowns begin dancing in an ominous circle, before the trailer catches different moments from the season.

In one, Nancy Drew actress Emma is laying down on an examining table when she is given a forehead kiss, while another sees supermodel Cara holding up a red syringe crawling with spiders.

The clip then cuts to what appears to be an egg being fertilised, before Emma’s character lets out a blood-curdling scream.

Kim is then seen cradling her pregnant belly, which turns out to be a giant spider.

In between the clones’ choreography, more spiders emerge before a final scene sees an egg fall out a nest and crack open to thousands of the crawling creatures.

At the very end, Kim is entangled in her own spiders web as she holds her newborn and stares directly at the camera.

Kim has been taking her role on American Horror Story, which was created by Ryan Murphy with the mum-of-four specifically in mind, very seriously, and has reportedly teamed up with an acting coach.

Ryan, 57, has previously spoken on what we can expect from Kim in the 12th series, teasing that audiences can get ready for a ‘fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role.’

‘This season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done,’ he teased to The Hollywood Reporter.

The episodes will take some inspiration from Delicate Condition – an upcoming novel by Danielle Valentine that follows a woman convinced somebody is preventing her pregnancy.

It was previously confirmed American Horror Story: Delicate will now be split into two parts and slightly postponed due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

American Horror Story: Delicate part 1 airs on FX on September 20.
