Kevin Campbell has made his prediction for Arsenal vs Chelsea and has revealed the ‘blueprint’ for the Gunners in the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta’s team have failed to register a victory in four Premier League games and suffered a crushing defeat to title rivals Manchester City on Wednesday.
Former Arsenal striker Campbell, though, is backing his old club to get back to winning ways against Chelsea and has urged them to keep the pressure on City.
The Blues have lost five games in a row since Frank Lampard came in as head coach until the end of the season, scoring just once in that time.
‘It’s a London derby at the Emirates, so all form goes out the window,’ Campbell told Metro.co.uk. ‘Arsenal have to win. They’ve dropped a lot of points over the last four games and have not been themselves.
‘They key is getting back to what makes you Arsenal and why they’ve been top of the league. We know Chelsea have struggled all season, they’ve going through another bad patch.
‘Arsenal are unbeaten in London derbies this season and it’s at the Emirates. Arsenal have got to win it. As much as you might think Man City will now run away with it, they’ve got to try and put as much pressure on as they can, just in case.

‘I’ll go for 2-0 to Arsenal. Chelsea are struggling to score and they are struggling to keep them out. Arsenal have got to get back to winning ways. It’s two teams out of form, but Arsenal are in better form than Chelsea.’
Campbell has urged Arsenal to strengthen in all outfield areas ahead of next season as he shared a transfer ‘blueprint’ ahead of the summer window.
Quizzed in which positions Arsenal need to recruit, he added: ‘Defence, midfield and attack! You need a full squad. I think this is why Arsenal have struggled a little bit of late, where you can’t freshen things up. You look at Man City, they can.
‘They can play a so-called weakened team in the semi-finals of an FA Cup. Look at the players they left out to rest for the game against Arsenal. That’s what a quality squad can do.
‘Arsenal have got to try to get to those levels. I’d like to see a new centre forward come in. A couple of central midfielders to help with rotation. At centre half, Arsenal don’t have the same depth as Man City.
‘That’s the blueprint. Man City have two quality players who can start in every position. That’s got to be the blueprint. I think Arsenal this season have been ahead of plan. Being a part of a title run-in has been incredible, but now we know our deficiencies.

‘That’s an important thing to own up to and look and what you’ve got. There are holes in the squad. Are we good enough to go up against Man City? No, we are not good enough to go up against Man City.
‘That needs to be addressed and the ownership know what the plan is. The summer window is very important and being back in the Champions League will help as you can attract a better level of player, which Arsenal have not been able to do for a number of years.
‘There’s a big picture and now we are going to see how serious the ownership are, as they have to bridge that gap.’
Kevin Campbell was speaking to Metro on behalf of Stake Casino Review.
