DNC Day 3: Kamala Harris Accepts Democratic Nomination

Chicago, USA – Vice President Kamala Harris has officially accepted the Democratic nomination for president on the final night of the party convention in Chicago.

During her speech, Harris pledged to lead “for all Americans” and create an “opportunity economy” in a highly personal address to the nation.

Her speech also highlighted other key issues facing the United States, including protecting the right to abortion. She also touched on unity and working-class aspirations.

Harris also called for a ceasefire in Gaza but failed to address the protests that have been taking place outside the convention over America’s support of Israel.

There has been a massive surge of enthusiasm since Harris became their nominee after months of worry around the mental fitness of current President Joe Biden. Despite the Democratic enthusiasm, polls show the election is likely to be a tight race and will come down to a handful of swing states.
