West Ham United face late competition from Juventus for the signature of Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips.
The England international is desperate to leave the Etihad this month in the search for regular football.
Phillips, a £42m signing from Leeds in 2022, hasn’t started a single Premier League match this season and underwhelmed during his debut campaign at the club.
David Moyes tried to sign Phillips when he was at Leeds and though West Ham will not pay the £7m loan fee that City are demanding, an agreement between the two clubs is thought to be close.

But, while Phillips is open to moving to the London Stadium, the Daily Mail say Juventus could enter the fight for the midfielder at the last moment.
The Old Lady are searching new blood in midfield and a move to Turin is likely to appeal to Phillips.
Phillips earns £140,000-a-week at City and they want his wages covered in full in order to process a loan move.
Fulham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace have also expressed interest in Phillips.
