Josh Brolin had a rather interesting way of promoting his new show.
The actor, 55, posed for a cheeky nude snap as he films season 2 of TV series Outer Range, in which he plays a Wyoming rancher fighting to keep his land.
Brolin teased the forthcoming episodes taking things in a ‘different direction,’ letting fans in on the changes by wearing nothing but a cowboy hat and a necklace.
Looking out at a pool while sitting in a deckchair, the Marvel star crossed his legs, so nothing was actually on show.
‘Prepping for a scene for “Outer Range” Season 2. We are taking things in a different direction now,’ he wrote to his 3.3million followers.
‘It’s a shifting world and we have to be sensitive to all. Power of example is everything, so examples we are.’
He added: ‘We aren’t supposed to post photos from the show but this isn’t really during the show, but rather lunch outside in the beautiful Santa Fe desert.
‘Thank you @brianbowensmith for documenting our most private moments on the set.’
It’s safe to say fans were taken aback by the black and white nakey pic.
‘THAT’s my Thanos’, one fan declared to the Avengers: Endgame star.
‘For free?!?’, another asked jokingly.
‘Now I’m picturing you as a naked Thanos…you’re welcome,’ one penned.
Actor Luke Hemsworth also commented on the post, writing: ‘Do you know the song “your balls r hangin through the old cane chair?” Hum a few bars and I’ll see if I can pick it up.’

Ryan Hurst mocked: ‘That necklace looks silly.’
Meanwhile, the Goonies star’s wife Kathryn Brolin teased: ‘Oh I thought they weren’t releasing the poster til later this year!!’
Starring Imogen Poots, Lewis Pullman, Tom Pelphrey, and more, Outer Range first landed on Amazon Prime in 2022.
An official synopsis for the series reads: ‘The Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of their daughter-in-law when the neighbouring Tillersons make a play for their ranch land.

‘Tension comes to a head when a mysterious black void arrives in the Abbotts’ pasture.’
As for the upcoming second season, a release date is yet to be confirmed, but it’s predicted to land in 2024.

With regards to the plot, fans have speculated that, after the original eight episodes of the Western/quasi-horror series, there’s still much more to be explored about the mysterious hole on the Abbott ranch and the strange goings-on.
But if you can’t wait until then, Brolin next appears in Dune: Part Two, which lands in November.
