Rishi Sunak is now “on the brink of becoming Britain’s latest unelected PM” – that’s on the front of the Daily Mirror.

The paper says that “humiliated” former PM Boris Johnson claimed he had the numbers for a return as PM but feared he would split the party. The paper says only Penny Mordaunt now stands in the way of Rishi Sunak.
