John Stamos has shared details about the last time he saw Bob Saget.
The actors played brothers-in-law in the sitcom Full House, which ran for eight seasons from 1987 until 1995.
Saget starred as Danny Tanner on the sitcom, while John played his brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis.
They later both reprised their roles in Netflix’s Fuller House reboot, which ran for five seasons from 2016-2020.
However, in January 2022, Bob died suddenly in his sleep aged 65 after accidentally sustaining blunt head trauma.
Now, nearly two years on, John has recalled the last time they saw each other.

Speaking on the Today show, John spoke about how they had gone out to a restaurant on a double date with their wives Caitlin McHugh and Kelly Rizzo.
‘It was the last dinner, and you never think: “This is the last time I’m gonna see my best friend”, you know, and this was gonna be the last picture we ever took,’ he shared.
‘But he was really, he was somehow, he was everything that I wanted Bob to be in that moment.
‘You know, he was calm, and he listened and he didn’t talk about himself that much.’
He continued: ‘believe me, I was a, you know, just as much a pain in the a** as he was in different ways.’
Over the course of that final dinner, John ‘realized that I’d grown too’, joking about how he was able to laugh off the fact it took ’20 minutes’ to get a photo with Saget, who would worry about things like if his ‘neck fat’ was visible.
He also said they gushed over their wives and wondered: ‘How did two saps like us get lucky enough to have these two beautiful – inside and out – women?’
At the end of the dinner, John was getting ready to go but after Saget suggested cake, they stayed a bit longer.

He then shared that dinner taught him live in the moment.
‘When you’re with someone that you love that you care about, slow down,’ he said.
‘Take it easy. Order the cake.’
On January 9 last year, Saget was found dead at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida.

A month later his family confirmed that he died due to head trauma.
After accidentally hitting the back of his head on something, it was concluded he thought nothing of it and went to sleep.
On the one-year anniversary of his death, John penned a tribute to Saget on social media, writing: ‘It’s hard sometimes Bob without you, but we’ll try.
‘We’ll keep loving and will keep hugging just like you want us to. I can’t believe it’s been a year, time flies when you’re grieving, I guess.’
