‘Disrespectful’ Jimmy Kimmel slammed for ‘upstaging’ Quinta Brunson’s Emmy acceptance speech by lying on stage: ‘He ought to be ashamed’
The Metro says Jimmy Kimmel has been heavily criticised for lying on the stage during Quinta Brunson’s acceptance speech for best writing in a comedy series during the Emmy Awards 2022 with many calling for him to apologise.
The talk show host was dragged onto the stage by actor Will Arnett in a skit before announcing the nominees in the category.
However, Kimmel continued to commit to playing dead after Brunson was named the winner, prompting viewers to accuse him of being ‘disrespectful’.
After appearing on the stage, Brunson looked down at Kimmel to see if he would move.
